A relative newcomer to ShadowMist, Marshal settled in Fhearchair lands after having to retire from the life of a mercenary. A bad leg wound was set wrong by a healer causing him to have a permanent limp. He has claimed the healer did it purposefully to force him to retire because of his age. Marshal is nearing his sixtieth cycle and is very healthy for his age. Because he learned the arts of the smith late, he is not a skilled smith, but works diligently at his forge.

When Ragnar the usurper came to power, Talon and Bridget left the organization of ShadowMist's resistance to him. He was awarded the order of the Guardian for his services when Ragnar was ousted. While still very much a military man with ordered ways, he makes no secret of his desire to forsake his old life and embrace the life of a simple village smith in Starfall Keep on the eastern edge of Fhearchair lands.
