Guilds, Houses, Companies, and Clans of ShadowMist
Guilds
The Monsters’ Guild
is still a fairly embryonic structure at this point; the official name has yet to
be decided. Unofficial Emperor Grum Grum the Great (Sam Bird), a troll, presides
over the monsters of ShadowMist as their undisputed ruler; however, few of them
seem to be aware of this fact and it is generally accepted that he only holds
that claim because none of them care enough to do anything about it.
ShadowMist Academy of the Magic Arts is a guild for all magic-using
classes: Apothecaries, Bards, Druids, Healers, Herbalists, Magesmiths
and Wizards.
Houses
House Rolling Thunder
is a bardic household. They specialize in Middle Eastern drumming,
traditional tribal belly dancing, and fire dancing (poi), but promote all of
the bardic arts and sciences. Rolling Thunder aims to spread the bardic arts
throughout the HFS, ensuring that no talent is overlooked and no one is left
out. The house, which has members in a number of kingdoms, has hosted several
bardic circles and competitions at various events, including CRW IV (the Fourth
Annual Combined Realms War). Viscountess Me’ira bint Airiella is founder and head
of the house.
Companies
The Crossblades is a figthing company who believes and honor and victory are not opposed. Through hard work and training one can become skilled enough that stealth and treachery are not needed to win the battle.
Clans
Ice Drake is a roustabout tribe of sea faring merchants and raiders based on the Vikings. Membership is by invitation only. If Ice Drake thinks you’re worthy, they’ll find you. The clan is led by Ronvald (Matt Whitehead).
