The High Fantasy Society (HFS) is a medieval fantasy re-creation society featuring a safe and fun simulated combat and magic system. We try to emphasis role-playing in our effort to bring the world of imagination to our real world for a few hours.

ShadowMist is a family kingdom and we encourage members of all ages to come and participate. We have activities for all ages. Our youngest member was 18 months and our oldest was ... well she might not want me to tell, but she was not born yesterday, I'll say that!

We usually meet on Sunday at 1 PM. Contact us for more info and join the fun! If you want to get prepared in advance, drop us an e-mail and we can direct you to some good web sites for creating garb and armor. In addition, we can get you started in making your weapons. Please note that all weapons that are to be used in battle games must be constructed in accordance with the HFS rule book, and must be inspected by a reeve at the game site! This is to ensure that no dangerous or damaged weapons enter the field. Also note that no live steel is allowed at battle games! The Live Oak Police Department frowns on bringing illegal weapons into the city park, and will cut you no slack. Save the real swords and daggers and whatnot for events and court.
